In the UK temperatures, the temp rarely gets below 32 F for long, but it is often damp with it. Something waterproof, warm but not then turning itself into a mobile sauna is something I've yet to find.
And definitely keep the spandex covered !!

@Blake Fortunately, I live in the south east US. The coldest it ever gets here is 20F and that is only for a few weeks. It's still painful though. I feel for you all the way in Utah.

@Diggity I have a pair of Adidas basketball pants I like. If you need the spandex, I'd at least wear some shorts over them. :)

what kind of pants do you wear? it took me forever to find some running shorts I like. My favorite pair are some asics with the built in spandex shorts lining. I like the longer lining instead of the briefs so I dont need bodyglide or anything. All this in mind, it seems like pants would be really bulky feeling? my wife still heckles me for my bike shorts, so long spandex pants would no doubt receive major heckling.

Oh man, I hate running in the cold, but here in Utah I have to sometimes! On Thanksgiving morning it was about 20F but I went out anyway. It will get colder than that as the winter gets deeper and deeper so I imagine I'll have to use the treadmill sometimes. Good tips... I agree with the glove tip for sure!
