However, I&#039;m sure there are some instances (like you mentioned) where isolation could be beneficial. If you&#039;d like to write a detailed counter argument, I&#039;d be happy to post it.</description>

		<description>Nice Post...But I have to disagree with the general premise.  As a personal trainer, I do prefer compound movements.  Lat Pulldowns, Shoulder Press, Chest Presses, etc.  

But there is a place for isolated exercises.  I challenge you to find an exercise that is more effective than a leg extension. 

Both types of exercises have their place.   Both should be used in an effective training program.
